I'd say I like WLR quite a bit better than EA too, sure--I think playboi sloughed off a lot of what I liked about his music and added or sustained some things I dont like, and yet I think it's a cool album, respect the weirdness

^^^ill add my more serious thoughts maybe in a week or two but I think it's 100x better he released songs like JumpOutDaHouse and that kid cudi collab instead of his best leaked tracks because the hype and antihype for this album was so insane he was gonna lose no matter what he put out so I [2] respect the weirdness but I'm moreso entertained by fans reactions

Pretty sure a lot of rappers just get sent maybe a handful of beats at most to chose from - at least I read that was the case with ASAP and some others. Then once they’ve got a few tracks producers can create beats in light of their style, I just feel like the rapper has pretty limited influence over them.
