Zombie Eaters is probably their best song. It still blows my mind even after listening to it for about 10 years now.

In Liverpool? I have no doubt, literally the only place left in th UK that is actually alright. Still probably turning a bit wanky now though innit?

It's still good mate but yeah, changing for the worse.
There's a boozer called the Swan that's never changed though, rockin tunes all night and quality ale.

Faith No More's "The Real Thing" is a fun record. Nothing to be taken too seriously, just Mike Patton joining FNM to spruce up the party. Mike's vocals tend to take center stage throughout the album, which, why wouldn't they? They're a significant reason why Faith No More is as big as they are/were. That's not to discount the instrumentals found on the album. Solid riffs, drumming, bass lines, and Roddy Bottum's keyboards sprinkled throughout make "The Real Thing" a fantastic record. "Edge of the World" is a nice touch too.

Nice take. I pretty much agree. The Morning After is an unacknowledged gem on this album. I'm still a bigger fan of Angel Dust, but this is the album that got me into them. I don't know the backstory with Jim Martin, but I think they would have been bigger/better if he had stayed around.
