To me this is how TDAG felt years and years ago. This is definitely TDAG’s little brother. I feel like I’ll hold it as highly in the future, though too early to tell. Daisy took me a while to 5 and Deja as well. Kinda had to grow up with them, but this was a 5 the moment I heard it, just like TDAG was.
Also all Converge singles released this year are average at best.

This is a great record. Classic? Who knows. But it's worthy of their impressive history, no doubt.

I know exactly what y'all mean about one artist being able to capture one specific mood that nobody or nothing else can ever come close to replicating. For me, hearing TDAG and now this puts me in this vague mindset that I can tell is very heavily nostalgic. I don't even know what particular time period it makes me nostalgic for, but it's a wave of emotion and memory that I'm hit with that no other piece of art can evoke

If ya'll really want an album worth 5ing without question that's in the realm of music like this try There Will Be Fireworks - The Dark Dark Bright. it's TDAG's darker, Scottish, and somehow more consistent and cohesive cousin that the ladies can't help but swoon over. it's the best non-Brand New Brand New album. it's also actually just the best album
and i'm done with that spiel for now

The atmosphere and production of this album is just unreal

TDDB is nowhere near as dark as TDAG bro, I remember not being able to get all that into it because it sounded too sweet for my liking

Rate it how ever you want, the people saying you can't rate something immediately are dumb; ratings are purely how you view something in a point in time, it's perfectly fine with having and showing a rating'opinion on a record after one listen on the day it comes out and adjusting it accordingly when your opinion shifts, for better or worse.

I had it 4.5'd to start but I moved it to a 5 because it turned the album from a 4.8 to a 4.9
now that it's not that high anymore I don't have any reason to keep it at a 5 but I'll change it back later
