Despite its flaws I'm still giving this a rather high rating, I'm trying to go in with a more positive attitude. I just remember being shocked at hearing this for the first time back then... 'What I've Done' is killer no matter.

Me too. I remember when there was a lot of hype around this album’s release, and a lot of my friends in elementary school would crowd around the local record store waiting to get their hands on this record.

Needless to say, I used to listen to it everyday whenever I went skateboarding or doing homework. Now of course it’s not as good as I remember it being. What I’ve Done is a pure nostalgia anthem though.

It would have been cool if the band just kept making nu-metal albums. It's not like they were losing creativity in that respect as Given Up is an awesome song. They just chose a different direction. But I believe they could have put out all nu-metal albums and they would have all been just as good as Hybrid Theory and Meteora.

I remember driving 30 minutes to Best Buy to purchase this on CD, and the disappointment that followed was unmatched for me at that time. I actually think this aged well, however.
