Ive listened to every Agalloch album countless times and I do love them, but I love this more. Well, except Ashes. That album is pretty much untouchable.

Is that a 2.5 from hawks on a bm album?

"I will readily admit to being the flawed person here."

You are not alone in your flawness. I just have a hard time accepting being eluded by an entire bm subgenre.

This is really good. A lot of the riffing reminds me of Pallbearer, middle of white granite especially. Can't tell how I feel about the production so far though.

Production makes this whole thing sound completely sterile imo

Production has never been this bands strong suit.

I feel like some really small tweaks (like upping the drums in the mix somewhat, lowering keys in parts so they aren't fighting the guitars) could have made this stand out a lot more. Music itself sounds good so far though

That's interesting. I didn't care for the Pallbearer tracks I heard but that was a while ago. May deserve another listen.

I don't know which pallbearer tracks you've heard, but the first and last songs on their newest album are two of my favorites from them if you haven't checked it out.
