The early stuff is classic and definitely more traditional but I love all the mods incarnations I think Divide and Exit is their best. Goes for the throat.

Yeah, I dropped this down to the same score as 'Divide and Exit' as they're about even. Still prefer the early stuff just that little bit more.
'Drayton Manored' and 'BHS' are 5/5 tunes here though, plus there's a few more which are close behind. Just realised there are a couple I'm less bothered about, just like there are on 'Divide and Exit'.

It's the package though doof dude. The whole package is an out and out 5. People can only dream of churning this stuff out, these lads are doing it and then some.

I heard the BHS loop in an ad a few days ago, and wasn't sure if it was just something extremely similar or some cheeky moment from the Mods..

The singer Jason Williamson is often hilarious on Twitter. Some of the words he uses to insult people, lmao.

'Actually Garbage'
The queerest of the queer?

I also prefer Key Markets to this tbh, but Drayton Manored and Carlton Touts are some of my favorite Mods tunes probably.

Poor show all round

Maybe you need to be a grumpy, acerbic Brit to appreciate it? I'll have to give it a listen and see if that's a trend.

Those who dislike this are exactly the kind of people they're talking about in Just Like We Do. Like it or not, there's more passion here than in the majority of what comes out these days.

this is decidedly not shit.. in sheer primitivism (which is entirely intentional), and naked ire, this album is more punk than anything that's been put in a decade-plus..

I'm also skeptical of your ability to judge what qualifies as "passion."
Do you also think that something made with a computer can't be considered music?
