He raps like a strung out lunatic, that's kinda the charm of this album lol
I get it though. Hated the squawk at first and it can get annoying... But one day it will just click. I swear its the craziest thing.

Maybe it will click for me. But it also doesn't help he has a boatload of normal sounding tracks that I love (which I will always inevitably compare to the squawk).

Dude, fuck every bit of that. The samples in this are amazing. How do you listen to a girthy, dark, and minimal track like Really Doe and walk away with a take like that lol. And the Embryo and Joy Division samples in Golddust are brutal af. Don't act for a second like he phoned it in just cause you don't like haha

I kinda hate it when hip hop artists sample anything that's half popular because anytime the sample is praised it comes off like the sample is good because the original source material is good, and not because the artist actually did anything cool with the sample.
Like I hardly know any of the source material of most of the samples on my fave hip hop records... but goddamn do I know Danny sampled Joy Division, and it's good because it's joy division. feel like there are soo many better samples on here but they aren't joy division so who cares.

Well that’s a TON of assuming on your part. Half was shitting on the production and undermining the obvious work put into the sound of this album. You’d do well to look up more of the samples on songs you like cause you find more good music. The sample is well incorporated into the sound. Makes the song feel heavy and I like heavy things. Golddust is one of my favorite tracks here because of the way it sounds, not because it has a JD sample. My whole thing is like, nothing here sounds like a fucking Casio lol.
