I'm confused - did a remaster happen for this last year or no?

I'm generally not a fan of bands fucking with older records. This one sounds...fine? Its not shredding my ears or anything.

Eh they’ve hated the way it was produced from day one lol. People like to complain about the drum sound and all that good stuff. I’ve never had a problem with the production at all though so idk.

I'll represent the other side. That drum production RUINED a holiday in Spain for me.

Hahaha, this sounds like there's something to it. How did it happen?

Indeed. I exaggerate slightly, but it's something I remember.

Just after this came out I was in Spain with some dormitory friends and I was young and naive - but also relatively troo - so I was listening to this by the pool on my discman...

Someone was curious and asked to check it out and when you hear this album in earplugs it sounds more or less like dropping hundreds of tin cans down the stairs while an angry gnome is screaming through a megaphone. So BM didn't get a new fan that day.

Haha! Perfect story. I could easily see that tinny sound bother people a lot, yeah. Apparently it doesn't affect me though...

Still a decent score, a 3.5!

I suspect the remaster will sound drastically different (more full) than this. They've mentioned in interviews regarding it how much members of the band hated the sound of this album when it was released, and how they are working on correcting the sounds from the ground up starting with the drums and so on. I'm very curious to hear what they do with it, but at the same time I grew up with this album sounding the way it does so we'll see.

Totally agree. I'm interested to hear what they'll do with it but I'm also hesitant towards it.

The Original Sin Dusk wasn't for me at all, it separated the audio-tracks in stand-alone layers, making for a very weird 3d-ish sounding record that I din't like at all.

Of course that wasn't a remaster at all, so who knows?
