I think this album really needed that bonus track as the final song, going out on that drone was kind of cool but that instrumental is perfect in my opinion.

I wonder if other bands like Alcest get played on the radio in Neiges fairy world, if so I want to live there.

You know, the way this hits me now, it's like Oiseaux is the end of the story, Onyx is the credit roll, and Norte Sang is the epilogue.

Notre sang is good, but it feels like a post-rock song that ends right before hitting its crescendo. It feels like it should be four minutes longer; it needs to hit that epic crescendo before calming down into a really satisfying outro.

Yeah now I get why Solar Song was the favorite of a good amount of people, Untouched is 5 minutes of pure musical bliss

@zaruyache
Not to sound overly fastidious but I think climax is what you're referring to (and what the song lacks) since the whole track is basically a long but slightly unsatisfying crescendo itself. Although the terms are often used interchangeably

The Japanese elements work really well alongside the traditional blackgaze sound.

I personally think the title track is a typical Alcest song, though not a bad thing. The album only gets better for me until it comes to a close with Onyx

Never been too big on Alcest but I always respected the project, and I have enjoyed the first two records to an extent. This however was way better than I expected, I think it's the best one yet.

The t/t isn't very safe imo. It has a lot of different Japanese-like things going on it.
