Still have Darkthrone and Ulcerate and more that I can't even think of right now. Best year for the genre in recent memory for me.

Its been a crazy one, Novembre is still probably my favorite this year so far. This has been growing hard though.

Yeah this year is phenomenal in the metal genre and there are a lot of albums I'm still waiting like Darkthrone, Opeth, Metallica, ETID, Meshuggah, Ulcerate, Saor, Dark Tranquillity, Alter Bridge, Insomnium, Alcest, TDEP, Khemmis etc haha

I remember that one being OK. It's on bandcamp, for those interested. Still need to check this one, though. Started listening to it when it came out but it just sounded like everything else they've done, so I put it down and haven't gotten back around to it.

Its grown for others so maybe in time for you too. Yeah its on their band camp, I'm getting good mileage out of it atm.

Is there any special effect on the dude's voice at 4:11 in The Smoke of Many Fires? It's got like this gutteral yet bubbly underwater sound that I just love.

Roots To Sever is so great, I think by far the best song here.

An Ember's Arc, Withering Strands, Roots to Sever, are all standout tracks, but I think the crowd favorite, and my own personally, is The Smoke of Many Fires.
