Fill in the Blank, Drunk Drivers, and The Ballad Of are the best here. [2]

What's up with that average, 3.8 is harsh

Outside of this thread, I've seen a fair amount of negative criticism, I guess it's just not as articulated on this site.

The only other commentary I've seen was Anthony fantano, he dug it and he's usually harsh. I could guess what the criticism is directed at though

Fair enough. I think it's received quite widespread critical acclaim, but I'm willing to bet the criticisms in your head are the same I've seen on other forums. :P Which is fine, I'm just surprised I haven't seen all that much of it on this site, especially since the rating's kinda harsh for Sputnik standards.

Yeah true, the forum discussion has been really positive in spite of the average. This record is shaping up to be AOTY for me still, better than the death grips and the hotelier which were the contenders for me

I know a lot of people who don't like this album cuz it isn't as lo fi as their previous projects.

In other words, people are dumb.

In other words, some people like a more lo fi production. And some people don't.

Yeah, a 3.8 isn't harsh in the slightest in terms of an objective rating standard, but I feel like this site tends to have higher averages than most, particularly for an album like this, with a thread that isn't all that negative at all.

And that was cool, interesting to see how the song developed.

Twin Fantasy is still my fav. CSH, but I like this a lot. Ballad of Costa concordia almost beats Beach life in death.
