Even as a girl, i'm usually not a fan of lead female vocal in metal, but this time around I was totally chock how good Julie sound...and how it fits the melodie. S.S. Needle definitly my favorite track.

Early The Gathering had crazy Anneke as main singer, you wont waste your time listening their early albums. But Gathering is not pure metal, so maybe that does not count lol, it had some flair of doom metal back then.

one of those bands I should love....and I spent a couple days trying out albums from their past discog, but they never quite clicked...I love post-metal, Rosetta and Isis are among my favourite bands...but these guys just haven't clicked yet..

I listen to them because they usually have awesome "sections" in songs, rather than songs that are awesome all the way through. Like the end of Chevron, a lot of that track bores me but the ending rules.
Their riffy sections usually bore me overall to be honest.
