i kind of liked his comparison actually, it made the album contrast with the image i had of it and created a nice mental image tho

kodak cameo is some very shitty vaporwave that doesnt actually sound remotely similar to this at all for the most part unless you are musically inept like Calc and know like 2 artists per genre and think everything in every subgenre sounds exactly same

which explains why he thinks Clanton sounds like David Gahan because Depeche Mode probably accounts for 50% of the 80's synth pop/new wave he's ever heard

do it then, making shitty vaporwave is basically the easiest shit of all time ever just find a bunch of shitty retro 80's music and soundtracks and sample that shit and slow it the fuck down in audacity and make it sound like ass with shitty staple effects and then just shittily record yourself singing in a deep voice and process it with some more shitty effects and voila you have a shitty vaporwave project with david gahan sounding vocals all u need now is to smash the shit out of some random staple google images in microsoft paint and upload it to bandcamp
