Yeah, the slower pace helps it a bit. They were in danger of becoming too repetitive if they hit us with another up tempo, faster kind of record, in the vein of their previous releases.

The songs are here probably make this a four for any other band but by wonder years standards it's like a 3-3.5

i dunno y'all i think the chorus of "palm reader" is pretty fantastic. altogether it feels a little rushed as a song due to the fact that it reuses the chorus a lot without doing enough other stuff to warrant such repetition, but overall it's still a pretty strong track.
