Everyone i have talked to that has been loving RHCP for years is unhappy with this new album. My first play through I gave it a half an ass of attention, unhappy. I put it to the side where i could listen to it more carefully. I wasn't giving up on anthony and flea. I sat on a plane to Arizona listening to it and reading the lyrics-ended up loving it. I have yet to understand what in hell was wrong with me the first time. What in hell is wrong with so many people?

Why do you guys think that peopel are blowing this album off?

I don't think this was very good at all, the only good thing about this album was john on guitar. Dani california was alright but it got so thrashed that i can't stand it anymore. There weren't really any classics either. I'm pretty dissapointed with the album.

Got the album a while ago. At first listen couldn't really get into it. Frusciante's solos are really top on this album tho.. His best work?



Abt the discs, imo jupiter is better. it's funkier with some better songs. mars has too many slow songs.



Overall, the album is good. I guess the wait has been worth it.

The bass line 'hump de bump' is insane! Ye good reveiw, its definately a step up on 'by the way'. However, a couple of the best tunes on the reccommended listening have been left out i.e. 'So Much I' and 'Wet Sand' but all of em are good on this album. Tis a beaut!

Some flippin moron at my school wrote a review of this album in my school newspaper, calling it "repetitive" and said that the song "Hump de Bump" sounded like RHCP trying to sound like the Black Eyed Peas....

Then I noticed at the top of the article it said "I am not familar with the Red Hot Chili Peppers...."
