I mean, disappointed could simply mean did not live up to expectations. I could be disappointed if my friend told me this restaurant had the best burger ever and I found it to be great but not incredible and hardly the best one I'd ever had.

yeah i mean given how much i loved lonerism i was expecting a third album to come out be the epic 3rd of the best trilogy of albums of the decade
i dont know i like the more raw psyc rock sound of the other albums on top of the fact they had better song writing as well
its still pretty great yeah but if i want to listen to tame impala into the future (which is often) it isnt this album

i love like 3 songs on here and think the rest are super boring. it's just barely 'good' but like, context. ratings are arbitrary for this reason, because while i wouldn't recommend this to somebody, i would at least tell them there's some good stuff worth hearing, and overall it isn't totally abhorrent, just dry.
