3 songs left and yeah this might be their 2nd best album after BSN but I've felt that with the past 2 albums too

I liked the title track but I feel like it should have been bigger. How it's paced kinda reminds me of Pilot Waves by ITO and that became a favorite song of mine.
Overall I think this album's only weakness is that I feel like every track has a similar vibe despite how distinct each one of them is. I guess on paper that gives them points in cohesion but it's also a loss in variance.
BSN still reigns supreme it seems.
Also nothing as mind blowing as Nesting Dolls or the last moments of the title track on Descensus.
I was more confident about Amulet being their 2nd best album until the last 3 tracks unfortunately. I still enjoyed them but idk, I expected more. Oh well, time to listen again

Never Tell A Soul is kinda perfect. One of their strongest tracks as far as song writing goes

Actually, I think that the last 2 tracks are the best on the album.

Glad you liked it, album's pretty great overall.

Amulet is great. Will never understand why people consider bsn as the benchmark for them. Probably their weakest album besides violent waves

Agreed hard. It has some great highlights, but it's pretty inconsistent.

The Longest Mile and Frozen Creek are the only 2 that I don't think are up to par with everything else. Everything else is outstanding imo. My 2 favorite songs by them are Strange Terrain and Dyed In The Wool

Blue Sky Noise and On Letting Go are prime Circa for me. New album seems like it will sit right along Descensus

New one is better than Descensus in my opinion. And I love that one.

Like every Circa Survive album, The Amulet is a grower. The more I listen to it the more I like it.
I really enjoy the subtle "driving" sound that a lot of the tracks have. The rhythm section really shines on a lot of the new tracks. But the guitars are also beautiful and Anthony is doing some nice new things with his voice.
Tunnel Vision, The Hex, and The Amulet are soooooo gooooood.

Premonition of the Hex is probably one of their best songs.
