Animals is probably my favorite of the four Floyd records I've heard (this, Animals, DSOTM, Piper) but this one isn't far behind. Also, Dark Side is great but the songs aren't as consistently brilliant.

Even though this isn't my favorite all-time album, it might be the only one I've heard where each track is a 5/5 on its own. But there are only 5 tracks so that doesn't mean much. But definitely better than DSotM, if only slightly.

This is clearly my favourite Pink Floyd album too.



It's really harder to say if it's better than Dark Side Of The Moon.



I think it's a question of taste.



However, Dark Side Of The Moon is surely better known, even outside of the prog circles.



Its cover is recognized by many all over the world.

Well Dark Side and The Wall are doubtless the most well known Floyd albums. There's hardly anybody who won't recognize their covers even if they couldn't name one song from them.
