yeah there were definitely a lot of great records from 2008. every year has such a vast amount of output (music that i'm still discovering to this day from years like 08, 09, 10, and so on) that it's unfair to say no good albums dropped.

just off the top of my head 2008 had: some blood (my current avatar), soundtrack to a vacant life, you and me, feed the animals, rising down, late night cinema, deathconsciousness, the midnight organ, a son of the sun, travels, dragging a dead deer up a hill, los angeles, etc

Yeah Deathconsciousness was one of the first that came to mind, good example

Also, 100% agree with the fact that there are great albums released every year, you just gotta find something that you're into

I have the opportunity to see these guys live.. I would have to go by myself though and that sounds terribly depressing so i think I'll opt out.

I'd say It Takes a Lot To Know a Man, Colour Me In, and The Box were the standouts, but they all rule.

No, most of this is decent, but that's my favorite.

3's not a negative score. Some people on here don't seem to see it that way, but for me it still means pretty good. Nothing on here besides It Takes a Lot to Know a Man really blew me away, but the rest is pretty solid for the most part, though maybe slightly underwhelming at times.
