^What Arcade said. Stoked for the new album, this was a major grower. The Nara tracks, Every Other Freckle, Choice Kingdom, Warm Foothills, and Bloodflood pt. II are gorgeous.

It's fine but I hope the rest of the album isn't like that.
As a single it doesn't really work though, it has that extended intro which given that it's the opener of the album it would seem that that's supposed to function more as an intro to the whole album rather than that track on its own.

Just listened to the new song again and it feels sort of underwritten, it's possible it would work better in an album context though.

3WW is one of my favourite pieces of music so far this year, it's so, so beautiful... Is this similar? Only other Alt-J song I've heard is Hunger of the Pine.

3WW is a bit more experimental/sublime whereas the songs on here are a bit more pumped-up and percussion heavy. still if you're looking for beauty, can't go past Warm Foothills/Pusher/the whole second half of this really
