Jammed Antics yesterday -- an album that never fully gelled with me like their other ones, and man it's an awesome album. Not as good as this or their others, but still really, really good.

That album is a close second favourite of mine in their discog. It's easily in my top 20 albums ever.

Saw their bright lights tour on Sunday and they played a new song; it was fucking sweet as well.

Does anyone else think that Bank's voice changed dramatically between TOTBL and Antics and on here he sounds completely different than on TOTBL. I still dig his voice but man, there was just some raw power in his vocals during the totbl era that I really miss.

holy shit i thought i was the only who felt this way. honestly his voice changed so much for me after TOTBL that it impacts my ratings quite a bit sometimes...



I don't know what happened in that short time period, but it's almost like he just couldn't physically keep doing that same style anymore, and finally had to settle in to his staple vox on Antics.



Another thing that bugs me though is even the way his vocals are recorded/produced don't sound the same. His vocals on TOTBL sound so clear, raw, and natural, while subsequent releases they sounded layered & slightly over produced.

He's getting older, and he's probably happier with his life now haha
