Talk was the first Coldplay song I liked. I thoroughly disliked the band before that even though I didn't have a reason for it.
They have made a lot of great videos. Up & Up is probably my favorite video ever

Never seen that one! I'll give it a go.
They get way too much hate. Lovely uncomplicated music, nothing more, nothing less.

New tracks are actually surprisingly good, the last minute of arabesque goes hard as fuck

Are you talking Orphans? Cuz man I hated it

Ah, still need to check Arabesque

both songs are definitely a huge step up from what AHFOD was

That much is true

Still need to check this. Adore Parachutes.

Orphans is just another average pop song that sounds like anything from AHFOD. Arabesque is "experimental for a band like Coldplay" in that it is far out for them but still pretty normal. If more of the album is like Arabesque and less is like Orphans, then it could be their best since Viva, though.

The Scientist is still great. Jamming in full for the first time now

Used to rate this my favorite Coldplay but Parachutes and VLV are prob both better tbh. But this certainly has some classics and the title track is probably the best capital S Song Chris Martin has ever written.

Viva la Vida is a 5 agreed

I would put this and Parachutes about equal and Viva right behind them. Everything else is a considerable drop in quality. Mostly just listen to specific songs and never really take any of the full albums all the way thru on the rest.

The issue with this is it's frontloaded, I don't particulalry care for any of tracks 6-9

Really? Bummer. I love Daylight and Green Eyes. Whisper is really good, too.
Warning Sign is a little meh but I don't mind listening to it.

Disagreed with the frontloading. All the overplayed singles are in the beginning so the last half is pretty refreshing to hear
