Imagine if they had released this two years after A Natural Disaster, and then gone into WHBWH and WS; feedback would have been way higher

WS is gorgeous, but I like this ever so slightly more for doing something new, beyond the foundations laid by WHBWH.

Well, this is certainly a departure from the formula of WHBWH and WS, but I'm not really sure if that's something good or bad.

I adore the atmosphere on tracks like Lost Song Pt 2 or the title track, so I probably like this more than both precursors. They're all brilliant though. Anathema is easily one of my favorite bands.

Yeah, it's an awesome and consistent band, though this is their weakest release in many years for me.

This and WS just feel like weaker iterations of WHBWH to me...

nah, there's not one Anathema album within the last 17 or so years that I'd want to forget. I'm not that into Fine Day to Exit, but it sure has its moments, especially Temporary Peace. That's one of their very best songs imo.
