true that. this site was mad into skramz around then. yak's heavy posting at the time helped a lot. and the sorta related emo revival scene going on

that snippet, despite its brevity, makes me more optimistic for the new thing than i was. sounds like jd without being a carbon copy of their old stuff. as far i can tell there are two potentialities that could still ruin this album though.



1. over-production, specifically excessive compression on the drums, this has been a real problem plaguing screamo releases over the past several years.

2. no idea what jeff's vocals are gonna be like. whether he adopts his early style or something more akin to presents, old dudes doing screamo vox usually sound either forced or weak.

Didn't he blow his vocal chords by constantly screaming without a mic? I prefer the proto-Daughters vocals to the skramz anyway
maybe they'll do something entirely new
