Garden of definitely isn't the kind of album for everyone. It instead strikes me as the kind of record that'll leave a broad impact on a relatively small group of people, which contrasts so much with the more grandiose vision of R Plus Seven. The erratic skips in style here are off-putting at first, but more listens help you realize the spontaneous nature of the release is what makes it work so damn well. And despite however much you may hear about the concept of this record, don't let that convince you this thing needs context in order to be enjoyed. I listened to this thing at least 30 times before looking up the references. a jumbled anonymous mess of plunderphucking bullshit. he has no identity any more and is just lost in this space of obscurity trying to please people who glorify terrible idm like autechre as some kind of deep sentiment towards technology and the current state of art when its actually just a bunch of nonsense that detracts from its own enjoyability by intentionally skewing any semblance of conformity to structure and it just results in a passive and fleeting listen where every redeemable quality is immediately discarded in favour of terribly utilized glitch feltches and sharts. of course that makes it perfect for the type of person who needs to seek some sort of subliminality in modern electronic music and replace blind worship of any sort of god instead with the blind fanboyism of shitty plunderphucknics

All are 5/5s tho

I like everything he’s done but I agree Age of is my least fave at the moment
Noticed you left a few out though, I really like his first few too. Zones Without People in particular is rad

Oh I was just doing them from 2010 considering that's how we're quantifying the decade (instead of 2011-2020 like we should).
That also said I would rank his pre-2010 stuff on a different scale bc I just feel like it's a completely different league.
Age Of is amazing with some of my favourite tracks but it felt like a bit of a mishmash of his decade's work as opposed to really having its own style, and the pacing on it was a bit wonky.
Garden of Delete may just be my favourite album ever, I don't know if I've ever listened to an album more than that one.

Oh trve, I’m a new fan so I haven’t memorized the year every album came out lol. I’ll be listening to his more recent stuff again soon, I’ve spent more time with his pre-Replica stuff overall so far
