I know it was overplayed to death for multiple years but Get Lucky really is an all time jam. The closest thing my generation has to a prime Earth, Wind, and Fire song. Pure summer dance music magic. I had already been a Daft fan for years but that and M83 around the same time were just on another level and felt like music that belonged to those early 2010s years. I hear that song and I think of that summer and how it made me feel, prime of my life, having fun, getting lucky, watching sunsets over waterfronts. Was a magic time and place.
I realize that's mostly just personal nostalgia, whatevs, still slaps.

Dislike is a strong term but I typically only dig a few singles each album like One More Time and Robot Rock. This one in particular though never did much for me and its overplaying at time of release didn't help lol.
I actually think part of this stems back to when Kanye sampled Daft Punk on Stronger and I could not escape It on the radio. Still can't stand that song to this day

I certainly understand that this album was overplayed, but I was 13 at the time it came out and Get Lucky is about the perfect teenage nostalgia song. I certainly prefer Homework and Discovery, I think both those albums are much stronger than what I would classify as ‘singles only’ dance album
