Exactly the same thing happens to me, they always have cheeto crumbs around their mouths and their gig shirts haven't seen the wash for months.....

I the single from this today.....it just creeped me out.

I actually like "When do I stab myself in the Ears"...quite... a lot. There is some really good chorus/bridge transition timing and catchy guitar work in the song. I couldn't get into anything else in here, and "Ohio for Lovers" was unlistenable territory. This Message Edited On 10.16.06

What makes HH sucky? Is simple music bad?

Does anyone here think HH is okay? I think JT is an okay songwriter. The majority of the songs on the album are at least catchy.

You asked for it.

First off, the songwriting is trite. They fall back on cliches when they can't think of anything better, which is often.

The musicianship is fairly uninspired. Three guitarists all playing the same thing? There are two musicians here who don't need to be. Pop-punk is not a genre built on technicality, but that's not excuse to be bland.

And of course the vocals. God, every time I hear their attempts at harsh vocals I want to slam my face off of a wall covered in broken glass.

It's not that simple music is bad. It's that bland, uninspired garbage is bad. This Message Edited On 10.24.06

I really hate this band and just reading this review double my hatred toward them. the attempts they have at making music make me laugh. And they are considered EMO, why because of they're lyrics, i mean come on! GOOD REVIEW MAN, GOOD REVIEW!!!! This Message Edited On 12.30.06

They're not emo. Why won't people accept that?

Lyrics aren't really enough to catagorize what genre a band falls under. You have to take lots of other stuff into consideration as well.

This album is one of my bottom 3 of '06. Not very good at all.

As much as I disagree with chan about Scar Symmetry, he's spot on about Atreyu. He's also right about you not knowing what emo is. No offence, but listen to some real emo, like Circle Takes the Square, and then you can talk.

Fair enough.
I have only heard one song by Hawthorne Heights and it was enough for me to realise that there was no way in hell I would ever like it.
