The rawness of this is what makes it for me. It gives it an emotional intensity that it just wouldn't have if it was overly polished. And I think that's the problem with Painted Shut tbh. And I was exaggerating my dislike for that album. It's a 3.2 or so. It's just disappointing after this album.
