I'm gonna get to it, but I must admit, the hippie shit is kinda nice

This is better than Court tho

But yeah, Red is definitely the 5 in general

This doesn't have a Moonchild track that just ruins the flow, but the big moments on Courts were quite a bit bigger, I guess

Unfortunately, I’m just not a big fan of the second half of ITCOTCK. And it sucks because I really love those first three tracks :[

wait wait...are you talking about Red? The greatest album ever created in total freedom?

Not even the title track? I think Moonchild is the only iffy track there

Red’s definitely the best KC album ever

Yeah Kalk, I’ve never been the biggest fan of the title track either. It’s not terrible, but I feel like it’s just marred by filler. Like, did we need that random flute reprise at the end? No, not really

ITCOTKC is better, but this is almost as good, and the table of opinions might be turned had this album been released first. chronology is a hell of a drug. RED is still the champ tho.

ive only heard red and itcotck until now. trying to check their 70s stuff. this is good but a lot of it just makes me feel like i could be listening to the debut instead. like t/t literally has the same chord progression, tempo, and instrumentation as epitaph

Lizard is definitely better than this.

Is it? I'm not completely sure. I know that Lizard is more original. But, the quality of In the Wake of Poseidon is absolutely amazing.

I'm still of the belief this record gets a lot of undue hate simply because it succeeded IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING, which, having come first, was the more "original" of the two. Had these albums been released in the reverse order, I'm positive the outlook on this would be much different, and way more favorable.
