I liked DITW more when it first came out, but NTFP has held up way better for me. I think it's more consistent quality-wise, and I just prefer that more energetic style. Plus the closer on NTFP is about 20 times better which just seals the deal for me.

I love the entirety of Desires. I didn't expect to hear a riff that heavy from them at this point.
Innocent and GD&S grew on me as well, if I had to say a least favorite it would probably be Other Side.

I think the riff of Desires is cool and matches the chorus, but the verses are on a different level. And that's strange, Other Side is one of my favorite songs. It's pretty weird, but it has one of my favorite choruses on the album.

I just find it a bit repetitive. Still good though and I love the percussion at the end.
I'll give my first attempt at ranking the album:
Little Tyrants
Self Starter
Orpheum
Modern Age
Type Three
Someone Anyone
Desires
Intentions
God, Drugs and Sex
Innocent
Other Side

This is definitely preliminary and subject to serious change:
Self Starter
Other Side
Type Three
Modern Age
Little Tyrants
Desires
Someone Anyone
Intentions
Innocent
Gods, Drugs, and Sex
Orpheum
I think. I honestly haven't listened to the bottom four enough for it to be anything but arbitrary.

I liked it a lot at first, not sure why it grew off me so much. I think it's partly because it's in the middle of all the awesome uptempo tracks.

I calculated it and this album would be a 3.3, which I'd round to a 3.5 if I actually went by that system. Honestly if an album is mostly all 3's or higher, it will make for a greater whole experience more to the tune of a 3.5 or 4.
Fin is a 5, you can't tell me there are enough 5's on here to justify a 4.5 average

Still overrating individual songs. I mean what the actual fuck, are you saying you could listen to type 3 for the rest of your life? That song is great but if I listen to it more than twice in the same day I get a little restless.
