Couldn't agree more. They've been playing with the same sound for far too long now and their s/t bore me to death because of that

I can understand how some tracks off the album are hard to like, but this was worth buying for me just for the 10+ minute epics. I will admit that it is less consistent than most of its predecessors or most early Ryche albums.

T/T and Panic Attack are among the best DT songs.

You don't like "Sacrificed Sons" ?

Album Rating: 3.5
It has some great instrumental sections, but I'm not sure the subject matter in the lyrics fits the music.

No, they should be about trees *cough* Akerfeldt *cough*
I'd prefer them be about 9/11 and other things with genuine meaning than shamans n shit. Something like Endless Sacrifice has some amazing lyrics and that's pretty damn dramatic

But Sacrificed Sons has that overdramatic cheesy prog metal sound they always have that doesn't fit at all with the subject matter. DT are the last band who should be writing lyrics and dramatic music about something like 9/11. They should stick with spacey prog stuff to fit their sound

Yeah, perhaps Sacrificed Sons sounds a bit over dramatic especially on the chorus'. They might not fit but at least they're not bad lyrics

But the drum solo is great in the song.

Yeah the lyrics aren't bad and the instrumental parts are among the best moments on the whole album.

I agree with where you placed the last track. It sounds a bit to poppish for my taste.
