never been able to make up my mind on whether to put sad parts on this or long drive, in part bc having both that and other peoples lives are kinda overkill on the same release. i usually just throw edit at the end of long drive as a result
disregarding that tho, this is on the whole a good bit more consistent than long drive for me

I think you might be right if you compare each song but I have to say a lot of the songs on Long drive that I thought were ´filler´ at first, grew on me a lot. And I prefer the overall flow of the album. But yeah it is close

dont get me wrong i love long drive too i have it rated the same as this i think but its also cursed with having dog paddle on it lol. also never rlly cared for novocain stain. this is just air tight consistency for me which is pretty rare for a modest mouse release since even the albums i like more than this (lcw and moon) have like a skip each for me

its reallly patchy lol. drop dance hall/devils workday and add ive got it all most/history sticks to your feet and you got a solid album tho. dig the breezier side of the album a good bit fun relaxing summer jams

No doubt this is better than anything they did after Good News. I love that album, sure there’re some pointless interludes but thats only 12 minutes of the runtime with everything else being fantastic.

but yea long drive through moon is an insane stretch of music and no album theyve done after is even close to par, even if they have some incredible songs on the following two albums

yeah agreed, for example Spitting venom is top 10 MM. But I feel some of the songs on good news are underappreciated, like ´Bury me with it´, good times are killing me.

oh HELL yea man edit the sad parts is incredible. my personal fav mm song prior to moon. admittedly kinda get why its not here tho since this ends w another 7 minuter, so i tend to put it in long drive instead
