Midnight City isn't even the best song on here.

I propose This Bright Flash as being even better.

Reunion, Wait, Intro, Stevie McQueen, New Map, and OK Pal are all songs I like more than Midnight City. Still love that song though.

Midnight City has been getting some radio play here in my city. I really dig it so I'm gonna check the rest of this out.

There's some good things happening on this album, but a lot of the tracks don't go anywhere nice. I know they're going for the whole dream sequence, 80s flashback sound, but it misses a mark in a lot of places.

I haven't really been writing anything recently. It isn't because I've been busy (although that's been somewhat true as of late) or not thinking about anything, it's just that I can't find the inspiration. It's a shame, really. I used to tell people that I wrote for me and what they thought of it didn't matter, but the more I dwell on that statement the more I know it isn't true. If I already know something there's no need to write it down. The reason you write is to share things with people - to help someone see your point of view and why you think the way you do. There is no point in writing if no one is there to read it. And the main pieces I used to write, music reviews, just don't do it for me anymore on a personal level. I guess this tends to happen when you lose focus with all the subjective points of view arguing for certain groups of music over others. I've played with the idea of a novel, but I don't think I have enough experience under my belt to take on a task that large yet. I think the only option at this point is to do some short stories. Maybe people will be inclined to read those more.
