yeah i giggle a bit when the god is dead part comes in. so over the top

pro tip: do not quote nietzsche in a various blatant fashion. no.

Yeah... I refused to sing along to this with the rest of the crowd at the show in New York, because it sounds even more over the top live with a few hundred metalheads chiming in, lol.

I'm in the +1 for "God is dead" part. It's interesting that that is dividing people.

I love Opeth, but this album seriously isn't really anything too special. It's meh in some points and kinda entertaining in others. Could have been way better.

Seeing them live was a BIG disappointment. They didn't play any of their killer heavy tracks. Mike seems like he is becoming quite pretentious. I've been a big fan of Opeth for a while, seen them 6 times. They are always top-notch live, but without the inclusion of their bangers, the setlist was pretty lame. Katatonia, I believe out-staged them completely.

IMO my favourite part about Opeth is the top-notch songwriting and brutal vocals, this doesn't have either....the songwriting here is actually pretty shit tbh.

Giving this a 3 is pretty generous. The Devils Orchard and Slither are awesome, though.

I love this album and hope they continue down this path for a few albums. And once the spark comes back to bring metal, they should do another metal record. I love "Famine" and Folklore" so damn much!

probably one of the most pretentious musicians in mainstream metal. ever heard that one live version of the leper affinity?

introduces self, "i'm also a genius when it comes to music"
