This album comes across very average to me. I like it, but it doesn't strike me the way it has most others it appears (I'm very surprised how close to unanimous love for this album is). I can turn on the radio to any mainstream, alternative rock station and expect to hear something incredibly similar, on par or better than this. It's catchy, cohesive, and emotionally-evocative, but creatively safe, and ultimately uninspired.
