This album is quite compelling in its own way. Every album slightly has a different sound and direction, it's all gravy. I have a hard time comparing System albums in greatness, they each have their own. Oh and agree with kstein, I also wish my name were Shavo...This Message Edited On 05.18.06

You guys might want to check out Bucket Truck, there an indie metalcore band that really rock but doesn't receive enough recognition. There a little different then System but they are wicked. I added them and a bio to the site, still need to review. If your'e into d/ling, I suggest getting "No Other Way", "The Cost", "These Four Corners", or "liberate the Fossils". Damrod, I Disagree with you. I own both albums and Hypnotize doesn't sound exactlly like mezmerize. It may have some simularities but thats only because Mezmerize and Hypnotize are supposed to be like a set.

this was a great review, there are so many sides to system that with each album u dont know what to expect. myfavorite songs on this album are, tenative, soldier side, u-fig and vicinity of obcenitty. this album should've been named after one of the best songs on the album, i think hypnotize was the worst song on the album next to kill rock and roll. best review i have ever read!

I agree, that Lonely Day lyric really astounded me. System of a Down seemed to be a band full of intelligent people, at least ones who wouldn't make such a blatant grammar mistake.
