well yeah this stuff generally gets hated on because it sucks. just like most metal sub-genres (i.e. thrash, metalcore, post-metal, tech death) there are great bands and a bunch of shitty ones

dude gardens of grief (atg debut) is better than 95% of all dm ever recorded so if you dont listen to it you're only depriving yourself but suit yourself
