Deviant's highly effusive reviews makes me mildly sad about that.

It's okay Deviant me and Potato still love you. Right Potato?

Oh its a lovely review, Deviant has a fabulous grasp of flowing prose without it turning into a rotting word salad akin to a Metal Gear Solid script.

Everything sounded a lot fuller than it does on record, most notably Unluck. It worked outside because more emphasis was put on filling the arrangements rather than leaving it open like we've come to expect (which is why I was surprised at the lack of CMYK, but what can ya do). Limit to your Love was a crowd-pleaser in that regard. There was a point when a helicopter flew in over head right before the first bass drop, and he manipulated the wobble to mix with the helicopter.
Haha, that sounds awesome. I couldn't imagine him being very drop-centric though, but it's good to hear that he adjusted his sound accordingly for the environment. I'd catch him anyway I can (which sadly, won't be happening for some time I imagine) but I think if I had the choice I'd still probably choose some dingy underground basement bar to see him in

I really do like this, but I find it hard to get through the album as a whole.

Depending on which headphones you're using, you might either fall right into it or get bored.

The longest I've gone without headphones was about 2 months and I hated it =[ If you have the bass turned up on good speakers then you'll probably enjoy it. Tell me what you think of "I Mind", it's my favorite.

taking your advice matt.
i've only listened through once properly lewis (well, i listened once ages ago but i obviously didn't have my mind on it). i completely love the first half but after 'limit to your love' i feel a bit lost. we'll see though.

see I've heard a lot of people say that they find the first half of the record to be stronger (or at least more immediate) than the second, which completely differs from how I "got into" the album.. my first couple listens through, I would just start from "Limit To Your Love" - somehow the tracks before weren't clicking. They did eventually, but I found the later parts of the album more compelling at first...

'limit to your love' was literally all i remembered of the record the first time through so i think i'm thankful to it for that. lindesfarne I/II is my favourite part of the record so far (not that i can really judge yet). for some reason it really reminds me of the wolves acts I+II, idk, maybe just because of the acts/parts thing.

Conrad: I'm the same, the latter half is what got me into the album because the former seemed kind of underwhelming at first. I still like the second half more, but I've really warmed up to most of the tracks here. The only one that I can't really dig is "Unluck".
