I don't like his vocals but musically it's very profound and beautiful. Lyrics are fantastic too.

i think this is one of the albums that can't be rated lower than a 2 though. honestly, that's probably the dumbest thing about sputnik. albums that are critically claimed are apparently objectively good and if you think otherwise then fuck you

I don't see any 2s in here lol

yeah but the point is, if you actually couldn't stand this album, you would have to give it a 2 or higher. that really tarnishes sputnik's credibility and says that divergent opinions aren't always welcomed

I was just wondering why you brought that up out of the blue, but yea I agree. I can totally can someone hating this. Though that opinion would certainly ruffle sputs feathers xD

i mean it's an unpopular opinion but then i thought sputnik wanted to be perceived as all-inclusive. this new inclusion of not being able to rate an album what you want paints a pretty elitist picture to outsiders.
i brought it up because a while back i tried to rate it 1/5 for jokes but couldn't. idk, it just came to mind

Agreed, but I think that's a system now because of trolls. I mean, I haven't heard many classics that I could see someone giving under a 2, but it definitely should be allowed if the person is genuine.

yeah that's a case of letting trolls win when it affects the system for everyone. idk, it's nitpicky i guess and sputnik is never going to have as much mainstream success or credibility as a site like pitchfork, but still it's bothersome. i could easily see someone disliking devil and god, for example, but NOPE. sputnik filters u

"I don't like his vocals but musically it's very profound and beautiful"
but those vocals are so good. also, have you noticed that you use the word "profound" to describe literally everything you like?

Going back to this album makes me remember why this sort of music is so great. Haiti hits that ethereal sphere that I can't really get anywhere else
