I wish the word "generic" never existed, I see it ill-used on at least 10 threads a day and its getting real annoying.

that's a dumb thing to say. lots of things are generic and that needs to be said, lol.

I seriously don't get how people focus on the breakdowns on this album the ambiance and soft parts make up for it soooooooooooo much

Is this the reason for your username?

Actually I used this username as my Gamertag a long time ago. It's just coincidence that I love this album. It's crappy deathcore like Through the Eyes of the Dead that hurt the genre. I really don't have a problem with the more core elements of this album at all. I think that this album has a balance unlike any other deathcore album I've heard, since they have an ambiance behind the music, not unlike the way I feel about Opeth.

I was commenting on the fact that someone posted that this album had "generic" aspects to it, which it does NOT. Dumbass.

It's because that's what most of the album is. The 2 and a half minutes of aural bliss in the middle of Flourish completely disguises that the rest of the song is actually quite boring. I like Contact and Oscillator a lot too, as well as the end of Primal Directive. But the rest is passable. Not bad, just unremarkable.

I may be late at noticing this but Apparition and Exoplanet are compositionally the same while lyrically they are completely different.

I liked Exoplanet's lyrical content more than Apparition.

I wish I could rate this album higher. I really do love the clean/ambient/spacey parts. However, the breakdowns on MANY of the songs are just... horrible. I can deal with breakdowns. I just can't deal with low quality, repititive breakdowns that are constantly overlooked by people who mention only the good parts of the album.
