Republic of Wolves = these guys with screaming/electric guitars (i.e. Brand New). I actually prefer this project.

Yeah I'm not sure about Rev and Silk Road, I'm gonna just assume it's intentional because these guys are perfect in my eyes.

The screams are subpar IMO compared to that of Jesse Lacey, but they're acceptable. If it seems intriguing to you, check it:

That's my favorite from them, personally. The production is a little raw b/c it's from their debut EP.

I dig it pretty hard, raw as fuck, hard to believe it's the same guys. Is it Mason screaming?

If I remember right it's Christian Van Deurs that does the scream parts, but I could be way off.

Their most recent album was really disappointing, but any of their other works are safe bets. My favorites are the two EPs, His Old Branches and The Cartographer.

Their latest lp was a bit of a disappointment, but it was enjoyable none the less. I agree that their EPs are the most enjoyable.

haven't heard that song yet but i'm diging this quite a bit so far

you heard the byrds sowing? you'd prolly dig them if you haven't - one of the greatest folk acts along with simon and garfunkel imo

edit: ship shape sounds like the byrds tbh

foundry is pretty close honestly, it feels like they developed their sound a little more but the songs just aren't as good?? idk foundry is a little too long for my taste

antarctica is still super good but not close to the other two, though it explores new territory, and that new territory leads to my some of my favorites from the album (plumes, 1645(
