wrongdoers and all hail also my two favs but i think getting into them when the latter came out probably explains that. i def understand where criticism against the later material comes from tho

this rules bandcamp version rules more tho

I like wrongdoers a lot, probably top 3 for me. But the past 2 just don’t hit that hard imo.

bandcamp version cuts the interludes and adds kill more presidets and distance to planets

Recent albums are too monotonous for my taste, this record has much more variation compared to the new ones

This was a big grower for me, didn't really care for it when it came out.

Also I can't unhear the similarity in the intros of Bastardizer and Eagles Become Vultures by Converge

I don’t see much of a similarity other than they both have a drum solo intro?

“whats the difference between the Bandcamp version and this...?”

Bandcamp version has no interludes

That's all I mean is that the drum fills are super similar. When they come up on shuffle it takes me a second to realize which is which.

Lol I didn’t see that you specifically said the intros, so yea I agree

This is probably my favorite. Hard to pick though. This vs Wrongdoers > slightly All Hail (though every time I listen to All Hail i want to change my mind) > still very good but clearly 4th for me polar similar .. rest of disco irrelevant to me.

Everyone sucking off all hail and shitting on their earlier material burns hard.

Acting like redeemer didn't redeem the band 😏

I never even listened to this band outside of maybe a couple songs before All Hail. I just can't get in to their earlier material at all personally.

Naw, redeemer slaps. Small forest is a staple of the band.

"Also I can't unhear the similarity in the intros of Bastardizer and Eagles Become Vultures by Converge"

... I don't know if it has been discussed here before, but the overall similarity in vocal melodies (and other elements) between A Media Friendly Turned For The Worst and Under a Killing Moon by Thrice is a real mystery to me... like wtf? It seems like a direct reference to that song.

Meridional is great anyways, my introductory album to NJ discography, probably my second or third favourite from them (Redeemer is first hell yeah). I jammed part of All Hail yesterday and I still don't care too much about it.

I’ve jammed all hail in full like 4-5 times and have no desire to go back. I wanna like it but it just doesn’t do shit for me.

That’s rough, cause everything before All Hail is better than it
