pretty spot on, but i think you're kidding yourself in saying that parkway are second in popularity to IKTPQ. locally and internationally.

Brandon - I thought your review was dead on, especially the parts about McCall's brilliance, the breakdowns, and the riffing. The only part in your review that I couldn't disagree with more is the bass. I'm all too familiar with PWD's recordings and most anything produced by AD, and the difference in this offering is how thick and meaty the mastering is. I'm hard pressed to think of a metal album with the balls this one has through the middle. I've listened to it in a home theatre, through ear buds, and in my vehicle, and all are extremely thick. I think if you had the protools session, and muted the bass and kick tracks you'd be shocked with how much was gone. Lastly, someone has to observe that Ling has some serious Hammett influence from the And Justice For All and Black Album eras. I think we're beginning to see the best of what PWD can do, but will they pursue the new directions or just keep recycling breakdowns?

They need:
- A new drummer that can add something to their music instead of boring the listener to death...I can play better double bass than this guy.
- Some more ORIGINAL breakdowns...maybe it's just me but practically all their breakdowns sound like it's been done before. Don't get me wrong they still kick you in your balls...but they need some variety
- A new vocalist...(Just kidding)

...Who knows maybe this one will grow on me.

Nice review by the way.

I appreciate your input to my comment, perhaps next time you would post something that's slighty more constructive?

Listen, I'll post something more constructive when you change that rating of a 5 for KWAS. That's just fucking ridiculous.

It's my personal perference, KWAS was raw and full of energy, something that I've never heard at the time . Plus I've seen PWD live, I would give KWAS 5.5 if i could.
