Trif, the best is ofc the debut!
How good is it? Very good!

Yes, I could have seen that coming. The debut is uneven to me. I think I might prefer In Silico overall, it is the most consistent (10 times the same song?), but the debut has some of their best tracks obviously. This one is uneven too, with some absolute darlings as well.
That seems to be their problem in general, some poopy ones and some ultra ones in each of their albums.

I wouldn’t really call the debut uneven. There was an uploaded version of the original 2005 release on YouTube that I think got taken down recently, that played out like a DJ mix where all the songs fade into each other. Makes the entire record feel consistent all the way through.

Yeah I get that, but I mean my enjoyment of it is super uneven. For instance I'm sick of hearing Prelude-Slam, Tarantula, Fasten Your Seatbelt, Blood Sugar. The 'club-bangers' mainly. I still super love the t/t, Plastic World, Sounds Of Life, Girl In The Fire, and Streamline though.

the original release of HYC is just so much better than that lazy ass re-release where they added two seconds of silence between the songs for no reason and bafflingly dropped Another Planet/Still Grey for Blood Sugar/Axle Grinder lol

The “club bangers” help keep the pace of the album from getting stale and boring. Plus that sounds more like a personal thing to me.
Also agreed, Still Grey was an awesome closer that didn’t need to be replaced by Axel Grinder. That song was just awful.
