How does one listen to this, bloomin’ long record... Do you divide it up into sections? I’m assuming not everyone has the time for a complete play-through, at least not every time.

I wonder the same thing about any album over 45 min

Haha, come on now bloc. The majority of records I listen to seem to be an hour plus long.

Yeah I got lots of those too, but I'll be damned if I can give more than an hour to listen to them in full. I got shit to do lol.

I definitely have to make time & sometimes it’s tough yeah, 50 mins is easy (my journey to work), anything much beyond that usually requires home listening (& the time isn’t always available when I want it). One thing I’ve started doing is playing an album before I leave the house (if I get ready for work quick enough), those extra minutes can make all the difference.
I always calculate it vs my expected arrival as well (to make sure it’s possible), this morning I managed to fit in a 62 minute album. The issue is this ‘journey listening time’ isn’t the best for certain genres, especially more ambient stuff.

Ah, fair enough and good strategy. My commute and prep time used to be towards music, but it has recently switched to podcasts, hence my issue haha

A youtube user compiled the more mellow driven songs in this album and put it all into one video, but for some reason the video got deleted, I missed that video because it's very dreamy when you put all the quiet songs one after another.

after 50 hours w/out sleep i had an episode of sleep paralysis whilst radiator was playing and it's probably the most unsettling song i can think of now

That sucks so bad. Especially since this is a top tier sleep album.

It's not that hard to do that yourself, just add the album to a playlist and delete the darker, more tense songs.

This goes through so many different moods while remaining pretty much pure ambient. There are moments of warmth, but much of this feels like wandering through an alien spaceship or exploring a haunted house.

What the fuck were you doing for 50 h in the first place

The only time I've gone that long without sleep I was on some very questionable substances of unknown origin, so I'm going to presume something similar.
Now I'd struggle to stay awake 20 hours even if I wanted to.
