I find myself being pulled back to this album more than GWW b/c of the lyrics in this one. I think find that this is just one long story through the album.
Thank Zeus that Furney left thebleedingalarm for Secret and Whisper though, I think the heaviness of this music lets him really release what he can do with his vocals.
It sucks that people are to stubborn to listen to something b/c of someone's voice range. Try belting out one of the S&W songs and you'll have more respect for the man behind the voice.

The lyrics... Really? I actually preferred them on their debut.
While I think there are some people that simply don't like his voice, I don't think that is the case with the majority around here. It's more the perceived lack of variety in his vocals.

Lack of variety? That to me is just a silly thing. Everyone has their own way of doing vocals and if people are that nit picky then they shouldn't be able to listen to anything. Every vocalist has a way of singing and does that on every album. It's not a lack of variety, they just don't like his voice which is a shame. I know how it is because I've tried getting many people into S&W and CS and they can't do it because of a high pitched voice. It annoys me when people can't expand their horizons.
But regarding the lyrics, yeah I dig them more. They seem more poetic in this album than song-like which is something I like.
On a side note, if you ever watched him live, does he remind you a bit of Jim Morrison? Not the voice but the way he moves on stage a little bit and he looks just a lot like him to me.

And come on, that build up in Famous for a Century where he's screaming out 'killer' is fucking awesome.
Also Blush is becoming my favorite on the album b/c of its lyrics haha

"It's not a lack of variety, they just don't like his voice which is a shame"
Good argument... Quite possibly a correct one.
"On a side note, if you ever watched him live, does he remind you a bit of Jim Morrison?"
I have not had the opportunity tol see them live & they will hopefully come to Oz soon. But the Jim Morrison comparison defintely would be a huge positive.
