saying that though, 2DCC aren't a band i listen to with headphones... ever. in the car with friends and at house parties just about sums up my listening experience of their first album.

I listen to all my listen sitting a short distance from my CD player, close my eyes and take it all in. Can't stand listening to music around others because, well I can't hear it. =P
Same as watching a film when people around me are talking...

i do the same for most music, but some types of music are just made to be listened to in a fun, energetic environment. this album is one of them. it's all about dancing and singing along with this CD.

yeah me too 99% of the time, that's why i love this album so much. it's the first and only pop album that's ever warranted that kind of experience and excitement from me.

Beacon is much more mature than this I think.
It's less up and at 'em and more focused musically and lyrically. It still has some of that thump left though.

In tragic news today, Foals singer Yannis Phillipakis was strangled by his own
turtleneck and died. Word is that he will be replaced by Ben Gibbard. The band
has apparently renamed themselves Two Door Cinema Club.
