"I never dug Paradise Circus much, the vocal delivery is pretty annoying, and it sounds like the theme song for a gossip girl reboot at the start"

The mind boggles at all this Paradise Circus hate. Not only is it one of the only non-mezz tracks that stands up to that albums highlights for me (it's probably my second favourite MA song after Black Milk) but it's honestly one of the most touching songs ever written imo.

ah we can agree on one thing pardner, Black Milk is my favorite MA song too

I do like the ending, but I really wish they picked a different vocalist, maybe Liz Frazer

I don't care much for Mazzy Star but think Hope nailed that song.

Also re: a ritual spirit ep style LP

I liked that ep, but it felt rather homogeneous and predictable in all honesty. I think they can go further.

oh wow never knew she sang that, only heard Fade Into You and thought her simple singing style was great for that, I dunno I'd personally prefer that kinda vocal style for Paradise Circus

Girl I love you, Atlas Air, Paradise Circus and Pray for Rain are the only tracks I ever go back to on this tbh and I'd happily disregard most of the rest, but damn they are good tracks.

yeah that pulsing synth is such a good climax, but I enjoy the rest as well as sort of a slow build up and I dig 3D's vocal delivery too

I always felt like it does. Even my teenage self in 2010 noticed a slow in bpm around the ~1:23 mark when del naja says "no wit-ness-uzz." Always told myself it probably was in my head but I also can't unhear it.

that song is a mad trip if you just follow the organs

so

many

organs
