i like your heart and someday you will be loved a lot but crooked teeth is a definite lowlight yeah. Ill need to check that version of stable song because i always thought the album version was a little too flat to be a closer

The whole Stability EP is great but Stability is def the heart of it...basically it's the same song as Stable Song with a 9 minute instrumental outro. You gotta be in the mood for it but it's a wonderful atmospheric drift.

onion I think nostalgia gives this a bit of a bump for me, even the songs I don't like that much give me a pleasant sort of fuzzy feeling even if objectively they're not that good. I remember spinning this and Narrow Stairs constantly five or so summers ago... Good times.

"The whole stretch from Your Heart Is an Empty Room through Crooked Teeth is very weak... Marching Bands, Summer Skin, I Will Follow You Into the Dark, What Sarah Said, and Brothers on a Hotel Bed are all superb though..."
I hate I Will Follow You (because I overplayed it to death as a child, not because it's not good), but otherwise: I couldn't agree with this more. There are a lot of songs that I simply dislike here, but the high points are seriously high. I wish I still liked I Will; I'd bump this up quite a bit if I did.

I Will Follow You works coz it’s death cab, but there is something a bit too sugary sweet about that one

Soul Meets Body has like a crazy amount of listens on Spotify I’m glad a lot of people know it. It’s wonderfully catchy xD

Phero, that song is perfect for the simplicity of its sentiment and how that sentiment is rendered via a wonderfully simple arrangement. It’s sugary sweet but it’s completely aware of that fact so it just runs with it. The sort of song that when you first hear it you swear you’ve already heard a thousand times, not necessarily because it’s clichéd (sure, it is) but because it’s a perfect realization of its aesthetic. Couple that with its placement near the middle of an album that otherwise consists of much more heavily produced songs (and immediately after the song containing the album’s most unusual structure and studio manipulation) and it’s incredible.

Dude that song basically went viral back in the day

Crooked Teeth and Empty Room are two of the best on here SMH.
Different Names for the Same Thing and Someday You Will Be Loved are the real clunkers.
