1.5? I’m pouring another glass of whiskey to deal with the failing morals of my fellow man

Yeah those ratings are painful to see
I can't get enough of the riff halfway through the song. The one played in drop z or however low it gets. It destroys planets.

Pretty easy to see why someone would 1.5 this, if you don't like this band in the first place then this album will be pure torture.

Yeah that's a good point, same for Catch 33 even though that album warms my heart

The reason this isn't lower than a 2 is how mercifully short it is. I can get through it, just nothing here to enjoy.

Not even the middle section? That is one of the heaviest sections ever. I could probably lift a bus and throw it across an ocean to that riff.

I like Chaosphere weirdly, nothing mind-blowing but I can bob my head to those riffs. I think it's imprinted in my brain because I spent ages torturing myself in trying to 'get it'. After that I thought all Shug would be easier to digest but alas not really. DEI is ok as well but I don't ever jam it now.

Hard to differentiate between the different 'eras' & I can't pick one so...
Now - probably Opeth
Historically - Converge/Sigur Ros (both still going strong despite listening to them for more than a decade)

Well it's what my username/ratings suggest... I'm so non-committal, haha
In longevity terms QOTSA are right up there as well, not a fan of all their recent material though.
